The Shiv Sena's intimidatory tactics are on full
display just a day after the cremation of party
Supremo Bal Thackeray. A mob of Shiv Sainiks
attacked and ransacked a doctor's orthopaedic
clinic at Palghar allegedly because his niece
asked in a Facebook post why Mumbai was
shutdown for Balasaheb's cremation. In a
shocking display of abuse of power and law,
Mumbai police didn't arrest the mob that
ransacked the clinic, but the girl who posted
the message. In a bizarre move, the police also
arrested another girl who they say committed
the crime of "liking" the Facebook post.
However, the girls who were arrested on
Monday afternoon have been granted bail after
initially being sent to judicial custody.
