A 29-year-old casual labourer Abdul Hakim
who exposed the ugly face of khap panchayats
against lovers in Aamir Khan's TV show
Satyamev Jayate earlier this year has been
killed. Abdul Hakim was shot in cold blood right
before the residents of native village named
Adoli in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahar district
on Thursday. Reports say that five armed men
shot Hakim dead in full public view when he
was on his way to the village doctor's clinic to
get medicines for his pregnant 25-year-old
wife Mehawish. The victim's elder brother
Yusuf Hakim says the attackers ambushed Abdul
outside the clinic and pumped several bullets
into him.
