The govt has decided to modify the rules for
the use of the contentious section 66A of the
Information Technology Act. A meeting of the
Cyber Regulation Advisory Committee has taken
place today where it's been decided that
notices will be sent to all states that IG level
officers will have to be kept in the loop before
using the law.
