The incident has lead to public outcry. Former
Supreme Court judge and Press Council of India
chief, Justice Katjju has written to
Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan questioning
the arrests as a violation of fundamental
rights. But political parties don't seem to be
interested in the girls' rights, they're more
interested in scoring points against one another
and backing their allies.
