Assam violence: Army deployed in Curfew-bound 'Kokrajhar' - India Hot News



Army today conducted a flag march in curfew-bound Kokrajhar and their five columns were kept ready in troubled areas to combat any emergency even as a prominent leader of the Bodoland Peoples' Front (BPF) was detained for defying curfew orders. The army conducted a flag-march in Kokrajhar where indefinite curfew was imposed yesterday. While two columns of army were kept ready for Kokrajhar, three for Gosaigaon, official sources said. Assam Director General of Police Jayanta Narayan Choudhury reached Kokrajhar this morning to review the security scenario in trouble-torn Bodoland Territorial Administered Districts (BTAD) with senior officials of the army, CRPF and BSF.
