RSS has tried to shrug off the impression that
it was shielding BJP chief Nitin Gadkari, saying
those found guilty should be punished and that
it had no soft corner for anyone. With Gadkari
facing allegations of 'dubious business
practices', RSS' three-day meet, which began
near Chennai, is being closely watched. RSS,
which had chosen Gadkari for the party chief's
post and wanted him to have another term,
apparently faces the predicament of how far it can go protect him.
