India Unbelievable! Diesel price hiked by Rs1 per litre but not for Consumers!

A day after petrol price was hiked,
the government announced an
increase in diesel price for bulk
consumers by almost 1 rupee per
litre. However, in a relief for
consumers, rate of non-subsidised
LPG has been cut by 37.5 rupees
per cylinder. This means that the
Railways and power plants will have
to shell out more for the fuel, and
it is likely that the hike is passed
on to consumers. Neither the retail
prices of diesel sold through petrol
pumps nor the rate for subsidised
LPG cylinders has been changed.
