Several Congress MPs and MLAs from
Telangana are expected to resign
today to pressure the Centre to agree
to the statehood demand. The
resignations are also meant to convey
to the UPA govt that the people of
Telangana felt betrayed by its move to
defer a call on the statehood
demand. The activists had pegged
their hopes on Home Minister
Sushilkumar Shinde's promise of an
early decision.
