The furore over grant of VISA to travel into
India to Javed Miandad, refuses to die down.
Those opposing the grant of visa argue that it
cannot be ignored that Miandad is in the know
of the wherabouts of his relative and India's
most wanted Dawood Ibrahim. Defending the
grant of visa, the government on Thursday said
the home ministry has followed "proper"
procedures. External Affairs Minister Salman
Khurshid said, "It is a decision taken by the
ministry of home affairs (MHA) and the
government. What are the circumstances, what
is considered when an approval is given what
goes into it, is an internal government matter".
