The Buck Stops Here: On January 8, 2013, Lance
Naik Hemraj Singh and his colleague Sudhakar
Singh, were killed in Pakistani firing along the
Line of Control in Kashmir. Hemraj Singh's head
was decapitated and taken along by Pakistan
troops. Ironically, it took a hunger strike by his
family, to get the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister
to his village in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura
district. Those who came, had no answers,
about their absence from the village before the
family had to resort to a hunger strike.
