Business India - Companies going Bananas: Spoof Ads go VIRAL Post Rahul Bose Tweet on JW Marriot

Taking a shine towards JW Marriot’s Rs 422 bill for two bananas to actor Rahul Bose, marketers from several retail brands have come up with their own spoof ads after the viral video. Brands such as Reliance SMART, Nature’s Basket, Amazon Prime, Policybazaar, Pizza Hut and even hospitality firm Oyo have shared their own satirical versions on the trending incident. As for JW Marriot, Chandigarh excise and taxation department slapped a penalty of Rs 25,000 on the hotel for overcharging Bose, after his video tweet went viral.
