Hours after AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi accused the Congress candidate Alleti Maheshwar Reddy of offering Rs 25 lakh as "party fund" to cancel his rally in Nirmal, the latter has denied the charge. Holding a press conference Reddy said that he never spoke to Owaisi and accused him of creating a sensation. “He said I offered Rs 25 lakhs. How can I offer 25 lakhs to a man who has thousands of crore of money?” Reddy said. The Congress leader also said that he is ready to quit politics if Owaisi proves it.
