And while all this one-upmanship
over Afzal Guru's body continues,
the man convicted of the attack on
Parliament was reportedly
unapologetic while he lived, right
upto his execution. Afzal had in a
letter, written by him over four
years ago, said that there was no
need to be ashamed of the
December 13 attack on Parliament.
He had just stopped short of
owning any responsibility for the
attack. In the letter written to
editor of a local Urdu weekly, Guru
asked the Hizbul Mujahideen chief
Syed Salahuddin to stop terming
the attack as a "conspiracy".
