A radio transmitter found along Chinese border
in Himachal Pradesh has left the Indian security
agencies bamboozled. A probe has been initiated
after a radio-transmitter was recovered over
a tree along with an antenna in Kinnaur disrtict
of Himachal Pradesh bordering China. The set
was recovered just 1 km ahead of the Indian
army check post at Akpa. What makes things
suspicious is the fact that transmitter works
on a Chinese made solar battery and some of
the parts of the device are also Chinese made.
The security agencies suspect that the
transmitter may have been used for recording
of certain messages of the army and ITBP
deployed at the international border.
