The BJP-RSS rift is widening. Today it
was Murli Manohar Joshi who took on
senior RSS leader MG Vaidya on his
remarks that Advani should choose
when to retire. Joshi retorted that
Advani had not been appointed by
Vaidya so he shouldn't be advising on
his retirement. The sarcastic retort
from a BJP leader is another
indication of the party's troubled
relations with the RSS. The feud
between the two outfits was triggered
by the RSS fighting hard for a second
term to Nitin Gadkari as the BJP
president. The move was strongly
opposed by Advani who prevailed in
the end when Gadkari had to step
down, and Rajnath Singh took over.
