It's big day at the Maha Kumbh
today. About 3 crore pilgrims are
expected to take a holy dip at the
Sangam as it is Mauni Amavasya,
considered the most auspicious day
Security arrangements have been
beefed up further as the festival
comes a day after the hanging of
Afzal Guru, convicted in the
Parliament attack case. Meanwhile,
reports are also in that Gujarat
Chief Minister Narendra Modi is
unlikely to attend the Kumbh Mela
on February 12 due to security
reasons. Sources say that intelligence reports have emanated about LeT planning a big disruption.
