A big setback to Shiv Sena's move to set up a
memorial for late Bal Thackeray at Shivaji
Park. The Brihan Mumbai Corporation has sent a
notice to Shiv Sena to dismantle the temporary
structure where Thackeray's cremation took
place.BMC has said that the permission to use
the ground was given only for cremation and
that it should be restored to its original status
as it is a reserved plot as the per the City
development plan. However, Mumbai Mayor
Sunil Prabhu has claimed that he has not
received any such notice.
