old woman in Bangalore who was
allegedly imprisoned by her parents
for a shocking five years in a small
room at their residence. Police
rescued the woman after she
screamed for help all night on
Monday. Her parents, however,
have said she was bed-ridden after
a paralysis attack five years ago.
Their neighbours have painted a
different picture.
"She was very critical for the past
four years. Her parents were
ignoring her. We went inside the
room yesterday, she was screaming
in the night and she was naked,"
