Lawrence School, Sanawar, are on
the top of the world. After all, the
gang has pulled off an Edmund
Henry and Tenzing Norgay kind of
feat. Setting a world record of
being the first school team to scale
Mount Everest in a 56-day-long
arduous expedition. The students,
all aged between 16 and 17 years,
along with their mentors, scaled
the highest peak on Earth.
But the ascent was not easy. Their
rigorous training started last year
with a mountaineering course at
the Himalayan Mountaineering
Institute in Darjeeling. And this
January, they trekked and hiked to
the Khardung-La Pass in Ladakh.
But not all were lucky to reach the
top. Hakxikat Grewal had to abort
