There was fresh trouble for Bharatiya Janata
Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari from within
the party on Monday as Mahesh Jethmalani
resigned from the party national executive
saying he simply could not continue with the
former at the helm on moral ground.
Ironically, the BJP president found himself on
the backfoot after a statement where he was
alleged to have compared Swami Vivekanand's
IQ with that of underworld don Dawood
Ibrahim. The statement might have been
misinterpreted, but the damage was done.
