since the Right to Education Act was
implemented but the quality of
education in government schools
remains a concern. A government
school in Hyderabad has only two
teachers for more than 100 students
but a group of students of the
Hyderabad Central University have
decided to change that by stepping
in to provide better education.
For more than 120 students of the
government school in Hyderabad,
learning has never been more fun.
This is because students of the
Hyderabad Central University or HCU
have begun teaching them
voluntarily. What started off as a
small initiative, Project Akshara, in
February this year, has now become
