Pakistan's lies on Kargil have been
nailed again. A top retired ISI
officer, Gen Shahid Aziz, has
written an article in a leading
Pakistani newspaper saying - there
were no mujahideen infiltrators
during the Kargil war. He says then
Pakistan army chief, Gen Pervez
Musharaf, planned the whole
operation - and only Pakistani
troops were involved. Shahid has
also written that the intrusion was
an unsound military plan, based on
invalid assumptions. He says
Musharaf calculated - wrongly -
that India would give a subdued
reaction. He says, later, Musharaf
carried out a big cover up of the
whole disaster.
