Adding fuel to the ongoing 'linguistic war', Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday said that a person who speaks Hindi was considered illiterate while the English speaking populace was considered elite. In a tweet written in Hindi, Naqvi cited that the Hindi needed to be promoted as it was increasing being perceived that only the English speaking were the intelligent lot.
