Out of sheer desperation, Pradeep Sharma, a farmer of Agra, sent all his earnings, amounting to Rs 490 as a money order to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The sum was earned after selling 19,000 kg of potatoes. Sharma took this step after his grievances remained unheard by the administration. Due to damaged harvest, farmers in Agra are living in dismal conditions. The administration is. being accused of not taking any steps in this regard. Sharma said, ‘For four years potatoes harvest have been damaged and administration does nothing about this. We have lakhs of rupees as loans.
