Even before Hollywood and Tanushree Dutta, it was singer Alisha Chinai who first told her #MeToo story. Alisha had filed a sexual harassment suit against Anu Malik in 1990. After pressing charges, the 'Made in India' singer never came back to the industry, to try and deal with the trauma. Alisha said that when she sued Anu Malik she fought it alone and it was an unprecedented landmark verdict as a restraining order was passed against him. After the ugly turns of events, the duo decided to never work together again. In 2002, however, Alisha sang a song for Anu Malik in ‘Ishq Vishk’.
