Bulletin # 3 - SC issues a notice to govt on Aruna Shanbag mercy killing Dec. 16 '09
The Supreme Court has issued a notice and asked for the opinion of the Union Government after relatives of Aruna Shanbag, the KEM who was raped in 1973, filed for a mercy killing petition. Aruna was in her 20s when she was brutally strangulated and raped by a ward boy after which she has been in brain dead condition.
