'Pervert' IIT scholar kills girl in South Delhi 4 of 4

Neighbours thought of him as a slightly eccentric but harmless man who loved playing with children. On October 26, police arrested Pushpam Kumar Sinha, the reportedly mild-mannered, 34-year-old research scholar from IIT, for allegedly strangling to death and then burning a 19-year-old girl who did not give in to his advances. Police said Sinha confessed to strangulating his 19-year-old neighbour, Ramchanphy Hongray, in her Munirka home in south Delhi.
