The desi babu and videsi mem's love story touched many hearts and now almost after 11 years the sequel of the film Namaste England is all set for release. Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra look a cute on-screen couple and their chemistry is sizzling is what can be judged from songs and trailers. But surely Akshay and Katrina will be missed in the film and now the director of the franchise Vipul Shah reveals the reason why is the cast replaced in the sequel. Filmmaker Vipul Shah says he had spoken to the original leads of Namastey London but things didn't work out. The director said while Akshay was busy with prior commitments. Well, Akshay has too many films to his kitty already and do you want to know about Katrina then Vipul said, "Katrina could not have been an Indian desi girl. We both did speak about it. And she said this role is something that people may not accept her in. I was going to do the film with Akshay but his dates were blocked for two years so he recommended I go to another actor," and now here is how Arjun and Parineeti came on board.I met Arjun and I told him I was going to do this with Akshay but he doesn't have dates. He heard the script and agreed to do it and that's how he came into the picture. I wanted someone desi who can also look modern and who has got a certain honesty in his face. "He was the most suited boy for the part. Parineeti was already part of it when I was going to do it with Akshay," Well the film release date is preponed and now get ready to say Namaste England on 18th October.
