The grand old congress is facing a huge fund crunch. After Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor said that the party should not be embarrassed about acknowledging that it was facing a fund crunch, the party has opted for crowd funding. A news report had pointed out that after the congress' string of losses in assembly elections since the BJP came to power, corporate donations for the party have steadily dried up. According to an ADR report, the BJP has grown to be the richest national party with its earning rising by 44 percent.
