Former Indian opener Sunil Gavaskar feels that Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin deserve praise for taking India close to victory in the third ODI vs New Zealand. The match ended in a tie after India equaled New Zealand's score of 314. Gavaskar says that if criticism needs to be given, it should be to the top order players for not delivering. He maintains that India's strength is to bat first as their openers can play themselves in and get a big total. Gavaskar does not think any of the batsmen will be dropped from the next game as they have their past records backing them. (INDIA Cricket Special, Sports News, International)
