Several questions remain
unanswered after seven people were
killed and 40 others were injured
after a bus enroute to Mumbai from
Bangalore caught fire in Haveri
district of Karnataka on Thursday
morning. The manufacturers have
claimed that there was no fault in
the design of the vehicle and the
incident may have been caused due
to a fuel leak.
"In general there's nothing called a
fuel tank blast. Of course a fuel tank
can be ignited with a spark. Let's
see through investigations. We
believe these have been strong
impact incidents where the buses
have been scrubbing around at the
side of the roads with metal parts
and so on, but that has to come out
from the investigation. But I want to
dispel the fact of the fuel tank
bursting," Senior vice president
Volvo bus association, Akash Tassey
said. (India Automobile Controversy, Bus Mishap Secret, Shocking Bus Tragedy, Bangalore, Karnataka, Karunadu Accident News, Technology Error)
