Infosys' June quarter sales jumped
7.7 per cent sequentially to Rs.
11,267 crore, beating estimates, on
the back of sharp depreciation in
the Indian rupee. Net profit for the
June quarter dipped by 1 per cent
to Rs. 2,370 crore sequentially, but
the decline was lower than
estimates. "Despite facing an
uncertain macro-environment,
changing regulatory regime and a
volatile currency environment, we
have done well in Q1 and are
cautiously optimistic about rest of
the year," chief executive S. D.
