India Meteorological Department
has said that Rajasthan has been
the hottest this season, with Churu
recording a maximum of 45
degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Delhi
also hit 44 degrees on May 5.
IMD official M Duraiswamy said,
"The temperatures have gone upto
three degrees above normal in
most regions. Uttar Pradesh is
right now the hottest in North
India. Within a week East UP is
likely to experience heat wave."
