Jayalalithaa wrote a letter to PM
Manmohan Singh on Sunday
expressing her anguish at the
repeated onslaughts of the SriLankan Navy on innocent Tamil Nadu fishermen. She wrote that she
was "deeply anguished at how TN
fishermen were being held in Lankan Jails.." Citing recent arrests, she wrote that such incidents were causing "enormous agitation and unrest amongst the TN fishing community and requested the PM to "take suitable action to get all the TN fishermen released."
