Actor Sanjay Dutt, convicted under
the Arms Act in the 1993 Bombay
blasts case, has asked the Supreme
Court to give him six more months
before he is imprisoned to allow
him to complete his film
commitments. The top court will
today decide on whether it will
hear his appeal. Dutt moved his
petition on similar grounds as
another convict Zaibunissa Kazi,
arguing that their punishment
should be kept on hold until the
Maharashtra governor or the
President of India decides on
pardon.
