Delhi gangrape: Accused declared juvenile, prosecution to move HC || India Special News



Juvenile Justice Board on Monday
ruled that the sixth accused in the
Delhi gang-rape case is a juvenile.
Rejecting a plea seeking that the
accused the sixth accused in the
horrific DAMINI gangrape case should
be subjected to bone ossification test
to medically verify of his age. The
court has now accepted his age as
per the date of birth mentioned in the
school certificate submitted by
principal of his school. The accused
had submitted his school certificates
to prove that he is a juvenile. His
school principal's statement has also
been recorded. According to the
principal, the date of birth of the
accused is June 4, 1995. This makes
him 17-year-6 month-11-day-old at
the time of the offence.
