India declares American Boeing the winner of
two high profile tenders for heavy lift and
attack helicopters for the Indian Air Force
Boeing's iconic helicopters Chinook and Apache
have beaten Russian helicopters Mi-26 and
Mi-28 Havoc respectively in competitive trials.
The deals are together worth over $ 1 billion,
declares Defence Minister AK Antony.
