Dear Pranab Babu, please exempt housing from service tax
On our Dear Pranab Babu segment, C Shekhar Reddy, Vice-President CREDAI, requested that the housing sector be exempted from service tax. He said that the sector is already paying various taxes like stamp duty and VAT, and the service tax can be done away with.
