Badal's remark reignites poll spending debate
In this election season, as the police and Election Commission keep a close watch on bundles of cash and innovative means to transport it, the debate over the spending limit on political parties has started once again. Speaking to NDTV about the poll expenditure, Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal had said the current limit set by the Election Commission is unrealistic and that "no party fights elections within the set limit."
