Budget: Leather industry seeks sops
Leather goods industry, which is an employment intensive sector, has appealed to the finance minister for the extension of interest subvention scheme which was existing till March 31, for this financial year, as well. The Indian leather industry has showed resilience last year in weathering the turbulent times witnessed by it due to global economic meltdown.
